We are asking for your help—not for our programs, not for our organization—but for something much bigger. We have launched an emergency fundraiser to support the regions in the South ravaged by recent storms. Horses are in desperate need—their homes have been destroyed. Evacuations are ongoing, but they urgently need food, supplies, and shelter plus many will need medical care.
The wonderful team at Fleet of Angels is working hard to provide necessary relocations and supplies to the animals in need affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. Your donations will go directly to providing food, shelter, and critical care for these horses during this crisis. Every dollar counts, and time is of the essence. We need your help NOW to give these animals the support they so desperately need and deserve.

Centered Riding is based on a knowledge of human and horse anatomy, balance, movement, and understanding how the mind influences the body and how both affect the horse. It uses centering and grounding techniques from the oriental martial arts, along with body awareness, mental imagery and sports psychology. Stephanie Barberra teaches riders of all ages and abilities how to communicate better with the horse through the principles of Centered Riding, in which she holds a Level III certification. In addition, she teaches at Delaware Valley University and for area United States Pony Clubs. She has a master’s degree in the Science of Teaching and Learning allowing her to quickly recognize different learning styles and adapt her teaching methods to best suit the student.
This clinic is open to the public, and no Centered Riding experience is required. Limited space is available, please reserve your space today.
Classroom and Groundwork session will run from 6-8 PM. Un-mounted session focusing on learning body awareness and the effect on the horse, and will introduce the Four Basics of Centered Riding. Use of Eyes: for increased awareness of your own and your horse’s body, fewer tension and easier forward movement. Breathing: breath through your whole body for reduced tension and feeling of lower center of gravity Centering: Balance, control and energy are established, release of tension, increased energy flow. Building Blocks: balanced body from feet through head, balance with horse’s movement.
Group lessons will be provided in three, four-rider, one-hour lessons. These lessons will introduce the previous night’s basics and will be applied to riding a horse in a group setting.
