It is an exciting time to get involved with Special Equestrians! Our summer camp is designed to support the ever-changing needs of children with disabilities - from working directly with our horses, to sensory integration, brain breaks, and group activities, each hour of camp is tailored to needs of the kids.
Special Equestrians offers a one-week summer horse camp in August for children with disabilities ages 8 to 16. Camp will run from August 14th - 18th from 9 am until 2 pm. The cost is $350 per rider, and space is very limited. Camp activities include group therapeutic riding lessons and unmounted activities on horse care and stable management. There will also be arts & crafts, team-building activities, and downtime to relax with therapy dogs. At the end of the week, campers will participate in a horse show to demonstrate their new skills to family and friends.
